- Trimethoxypropylsilane is used to produce sol gel of organic-inorganic hybrid materials. Trimethoxypropylsilane can be used alone, or co hydrolyzed with other silicates or other organic silane. After the sol gel process, various required properties can be achieved by adjusting the pH value, temperature, concentration and other conditions of hydrolysis.
- Trimethoxypropyl silane can be used as a surface hydrophobic agent for inorganic materials. When used as a filler pigment treatment agent, its recommended addition amount is 0.5-1.0% of the total solid content. When used as a powder filler treatment agent, Trimethoxypropylsilane can be directly added to the powder mixer for filler treatment.
