DOTG have apperance of Gray-white powder (granule). Little bitter, no osmyl. Density is 1.01-1.02. Soluble in chloroform, acetone, alcohol,slightly soluble in benzene, insoluble in water and gasoline.Di-o-tolylguanidine was suitable in NR, SNR, IIR, IR, SBR, NBR and CR. Seldom use alone, commonly with thiazoles, thiurams, dithiocarbamales and sulphenmides to promote its activity. It’s critical temperature is 141 οC. This product is a plastic-decomposing agent in CR. However, this product is not suitable for food-related products or medical products.

Rubber Accelerator DOTG (N, N ‘- di-o-toluene guanidine) is a medium speed accelerator mainly used as an active agent and co accelerator for thiazole and sulfonamide accelerators. It can endow the rubber material with good vulcanization flatness and is widely used in diene synthetic rubbers such as natural rubber, styrene butadiene rubber, nitrile rubber, etc. It is particularly suitable for manufacturing thick walled products, tire cushioning layers, and rubber rollers.
Second promoter (activator): In thiazole based (such as promoter M) and sulfonamide based systems, as a strong activator, it can significantly increase the vulcanization rate and crosslinking density.
Thick walled rubber products: suitable for large volume products such as rubber rollers, buffer layers, solid tires, etc. that require protection against uneven heating in the thickness direction.
Special synthetic rubber: exhibits excellent oil resistance and physical and mechanical properties in special rubber blends such as acrylic rubber (ACM)
