What is Photoinitiator 819 ?

This substance is more widely used in 3D printing than the photoinitiator TPO and has significant advantages in performance, except in the field of short-term colorless systems. Compared with the photoinitiator TPO, the photoinitiator 819 is more commonly used in 3D printing, equivalent to an enhanced version of TPO.

 

Photoinitiator 819 can also be used for colored UV cured plastic coatings. UV coatings are widely used on plastic shells of various electronic and household appliances due to their excellent performance and efficient production. However, the deep curing of UV coatings is not good after coloring, resulting in poor adhesion of the coating and poor dispersion and arrangement of pigments by UV resin, which seriously affects the appearance of the coating. Therefore, the traditional construction process is to first apply solvent based colored primer for coloring, then apply UV varnish after baking to improve the various physical properties of the coating surface.
