What is 1-Hydroxycyclohexyl phenyl ketone ?
1-Hydroxycyclohexyl phenyl ketone/ IHT-PI184is an efficient free radical non yellowing photoinitiator and one of the most commonly used initiators in UV curing systems. Due to its excellent non yellowing properties, it can be used for UV polymerization of monofunctional or multifunctional acrylate monomers and oligomers, as well as for varnish, plastic coatings, wood coatings, adhesives, lithography inks, screen printing inks, flexographic inks, electronic products. Even if the cured coating is exposed to sunlight for a long time, the degree of yellowing is very small because there is no benzyl group produced during photolysis, making it particularly suitable for coatings and inks with high yellowing requirements.
Its photolysis products include benzaldehyde and cyclohexanone, which have a certain odor after film formation.
